Just a standard room.Is the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas as nice as Planet Hollywood?
The Luxor is my favourite hotel in Las Vegas. But currently, the standard rooms at Planet Hollywood are the nicer pick. The reason is the rooms at Planet Hollywood have all been recently renovated during the change over from it being The Aladdin.



The Luxor is currently undergoing a major renovation, the Pyramid rooms are last on the list. The Pyramid houses all the standard rooms and spa suites. The Tower rooms are the newer, bigger, better rooms. I actually prefer to stay in the Pyramid even though the rooms are "standard" the reason being the unique shape, it's proximity to the attractions level and casino. also the view down into the Pyramid is a novelty that never fails to leave me awestruck. Also riding the inclinators up/down is a strange feeling that's also a novelty on it's own.



While I usually recommend The Luxor as the best hotel for "Newbies" to Vegas. If you intend to spend a lot of time in your room, Planet Hollywood is currently the better option from your choices if you would like a standard room.Is the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas as nice as Planet Hollywood?
Luxor has recently upgraded the look of their hotel. I personally try and stay at the Luxor every time I go to the Strip because I like it so much. The hotel is usually quieter than most of the casinos, which is a plus. It's really easy to fall asleep in the pyramid, as there is almost no noise, and the showers are nice.

While Luxor is on the south side (and PH is closer to the center) keep in mind that it is WAY easier to park at the Luxor, esp if you arrive in the evening hours. If you go to the center of the strip, you can expect to wait almost an hour to get to the parking lot of any casino (during the rush hours).

That's my two cents.
Planet Hollywood is a better standard of hotel but I prefer the Luxor as other peopel have said its noisy and confusing and I just dont like the feel if you know whatI mean. It is also far more expensive than the luxor.Is the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas as nice as Planet Hollywood?
I don't like Planet hollywood it's just like New York New York, the second you step out of the elevator, you are greeted with noise, traffic, and allot of drunk people playing in the casino. Luxor however is much nicer.
Planet Hollywood is a much better hotel. The location is great! The Luxor is not a bad choice its just harder to get to and more run down. Luxor is a very nice place. But the miracle mile at Planet Hollywood is off the hook. Go and enjoy it. Short walk from your hotel.
Planet Hollywood is better. Plus it has a better location.
Planet hollywood is better IMO and they have the better location on the strip.. right across from bellagio.

I loved the Luxor. I find PH a small noisey casino. Go for the best price
