Circus Circus or Planet Hollywood (The Difference Is $300)?

My Brother and I are visiting Vegas next week, Im 25 He's 21, We're planning to have as much fun as possible. Party, Pool and really enjoy Vegas.

We are currently looking at two hotels.... Should we do Circus Circus for $150 or Planet Hollywood for $400.

We are trying to save money but the same time have fun. Do you think its worth the $300 difference to stay at PH instead of Circus Circus?

There is no comparison, PH is much better than Circus Circus. Avoid Circus Circus if you can, If you are on a budget, check rates at the Flamingo, Monte Carlo, Imperial Palace or the Excalibur.

If you really have to pick between ONLY those 2, then go Planet Hollywood because it's right in the heart of the Strip (Circus Circus is a looong walk to just get to the edge of the main part of the Strip).



And again, I do think it's worth it because if you stay at CC then you'll be taking the bus ($7 per person per 24 hrs) and cabs just to get to the Strip, whereas PH you can just walk out your lobby doors.
Planet Hollywood is much nice than Circus Circus. Only you can decide whether it's $300 nicer. Be sure to check for promo codes when booking your reservation. Ok listen to me! I stayed at both locations, here is the difference. If you want to see SMOKIN HOT GIRLS AT THE POOLSIDE AND IN THE HOTEL. It is a must you pick PH, the girls there will have your neck spinning on a friday, saturday night there as i did! LMAO!! Its more of a 21-35 year old crowd also at PH hotel. Circus circus is not good for the party and pool, its more family with kids everywhere and old folks.. PH is one of the coolest hotels on the strip and has a mall also inside, nice strip location, good food at strip steakhouse. Here is the thing, if you meet some girls, you dont want to take them to circus circus right? They will be probably not willing to go but if you had a room at PH, thats more hip, you will have a better time, good luck.
Circus Circus ia a real discount hotel and nothing like PH. CC is for the real bargain hunter or people with kids. The location is not very good for visiting the rest of the strip. If you want a better location and better rooms and pool at the same cost or lower look into Hooters. Because it is a short walk from the strip right behind the Tropicana it is considered near strip but well worth the short walk. That way you could save the money to use for other things yet able to get around easier and have a much nicer property to stay. Circus Circus has a mandatory resort fee of $6 per day, which you have to pay regardless whether you use the services or not. Planet Hollywood does not.



Circus Circus attracts tons of families with kids. So everything will be swarming with little children, even on the casino floor. It's also at the north end of the strip, not really surrounded by anything.
It really depends on you. How much time are you going to actually spend in your hotel room?



If it's just a place to sleep and shower, then go for the less expensive ones, but as others have said, avoid Circus Circus. It's old and hasn't kept up well.



There are even some hotels right off the Strip, such as Gold Coast, that can give you basic rooms at low prices. Although, because of the recession, you can find good hotels on the Strip at low rates, such as the Luxor.



There are a number of sites you can look at, such as hotels.com, to find a place that suits you, the quality you're seeking in a hotel, and how much you want to spend.
Dont Stay at Circus Circus. It is really low in quality and something about its pool makes it seem dirty.

I really don't know about Planet Hollywood.

If you want try These:

Excalibur (Nice Rooms, Very Clean)

MGM Grand (Great Rooms)

Luxor (Good, but its better to get a room at the Pyramid, very nice and quite and relaxing pool)

There are many others you should look at. Visit Vegas.com and check the rates, though i dont recommend you stay at New York New York or Circus Circus as I earlier mentioned.
for what you want to do circus circus is not for you im older i stay there all the time but i get my rooms free just left for labor day i slept free ate free and was give 95 dollars on my players card anyway for your age range i would go some where oh one more thing some one said you have to pay a fee at circus circus thats not true before i became a vip i never paid any kind of fee hope this helps you
Big dif between Circus and PH. But 400 is high. Try Luxor for fun. For 400 you can get Venetian or Mirage or Caesars
