Hi. I am visting new york in december..can anyone help me with the answers to these questions!??

2) Can anyone give an approx length of time it will take to get round macys and the natural history musuem?

3) Do you have to queue for ages to get a table at planet hollywood at the weekend?

4) Anyone know roughly how much to get a taxi from times square the ferry port for the statue of liberty?

Thanks in advance!NYC Visit, Macy's , Planet Hollywood, Natural History Musuem?
In December it will be dark by 5 or 530.

Macys is huge. I mean HUGE. You can get lost for an hour in there. The Museum of Natural History is also pretty big. Decide in advance 2 or 3 things that you want to see, and just go to those exhibits. Even that can take a couple of hours.

Planet Hollywood - most of the restaurants in Times Square are very crowded on the weekends. It's hit or miss, but you will usually wait for at least 45 minutes.

A taxi from Times Sq to the ferry can cost $15-20. Save your time and money. From Times Square you can take the 1 or 9 subway downtown to South Ferry (last stop).NYC Visit, Macy's , Planet Hollywood, Natural History Musuem?
It gets dark around 4:45PM. Getting around Macy's depends on what you are looking for...I personally would skip it..it's just a department store. The museum could take all day.NYC Visit, Macy's , Planet Hollywood, Natural History Musuem?
Hey there Welcome to NYC,

I hope you enjoy it. I love my city.

to answer your questions:

1. it gets dark around 7pm or so if my memory's right.

2. macy's is a huge superstore on the 33rd str. It can take you a whole day , get there by 11am and you'll enjoy the shopping.

I haven't been to Natural history museum in a long time. Last I remember it was lots of fun. Be sure to visit Empire state Building by the way it is right next to macy's.

3. planet hollywood at times square is hard to get into on weekends, true, is it the must to visit, then go to times square one, and dont forget to check out the wax museum and public library while you're on queue.

4. taxi guys they can take you for a spin, be carefull, I'd take a subway. or if you feel like throwing $20+ just to get around they will be very helpfull. NYC taxis charge by mileage.

hope this helps..
