Ballys or Planet Hollywood Las Vegas?

I am going to Las Vegas with my friend in December. We want a hotel in the centre of the strip.

We have found that Bally's and Planet Hollywood are in our price range- has anyone been to either of them.

Ballys is good.

I would recommend the Flamingo. It is in the middle of the strip.

We stayed at the Flamingo from 8/29/10 - 9/1/10. The room was $50.00 a night. The breakfast buffet in the morning and the dinner buffet in the evening at the Paradise Garden Buffet was excellent.

Planet Hollywood is a nicer place, and is very fun. It's a great place to party. It isn't in the best location on the strip, but it's not in a bad location by any means. I think that's the only advantage Bally's would have over PH - it's in a better area, with more to do within easy walking distance. But PH is in the middle of a pretty active area, and it's not a long walk from there to the Bally's area. I would definitely choose PH.
Bally's sits on, IMHO, the best corner in Vegas. The rooms are larger than average and while the dining choices aren't the greatest, it is connected to the Paris were they have some of the best on the Strip.



However, if you are interested in a younger crowd, PH is not a bad choice either. The rooms are about average in size but thin walls. Good restaurants and a decent mall.Ballys or Planet Hollywood Las Vegas?
Depends on your age range. PH is more for a young, hip crowd and celebrities. It's a great location next to Paris and across from the new Cosmopolitan. It has shopping (Miracle Mile Shops), a spa, cool clubs, and great places to eat %26amp; drink. It was formerly the Aladdin but now has many nice updates.

Bally's, in my opinion, might be a bit outdated if I had to choose between the 2. Good luck!

I have been to both; and if you are looking just for a room you will not be in much, use Ballys (we just paid $16 a night there). PH is newer as it is the remodeled Aladdin, and it is quite a bit larger. Both are in fine locations. Planet Hollywood 100000% because its newer, more hip crowd from 21- 35 years old! Has better rooms, better restaurants, better looking people, not smoky like Bally's, the casino is more exciting, pool is better, oh i can go on and on! Go with PH!
I would select Ballys connected to Paris, right across the street to Bellagio, Caeasars, Bills and Flamingo. PH you have a longer walk. Both are great.
Depends on your age. PH is really a younger person's hotel. If you are in that category or want a hotel that has more action, I would do PH over Bally's.
I'd go with Planet Hollywood. It's new and modern with the Miracle Mile Shops right on your doorstep.
