Stay at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas or would you suggest somewhere else?

Going to Las Vegas for a Birthday celebration in August. Will be staying for a week. Have heard good things about PH. Would this be a good hotel for 2 females ages 26 %26amp; turning 25 to stay? We want a nice room, pool, casino, nightlife close by and to be in a good location. Would appreciate any feedback on this hotel and also if you would recommend any different hotels and why. Thank you in advance.Stay at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas or would you suggest somewhere else?
The only thing on your list that PH doesn't really offer is a good pool. It has a pool, and the pool is okay, but it's not great. Otherwise, I think you'll be quite happy at PH. It attracts a young crowd, has some good places to party, and is in a good location on the strip. The prices are usually very good, and there is no resort fee at PH.

I also like Caesars and Venetian/Palazzo. They both have a lot going on in and around them, and the rooms are very nice (Venetian/Palazzo rooms are all suites). They have some of the best clubs on the strip as well. They are a bit more expensive than PH. The pool area at Caesars is great, and Venetian usually has a pretty good pool party going on.Stay at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas or would you suggest somewhere else?
PH is good, they have a good casino, the hotel is fine (but not super elegant), they have a good buffet, the location is good. It really depends on your budget and on what deal you got with them.

In your age range you will probably enjoy PH but bear in mind that every decent quality resort and casino will cater to ALL age ranges, especially on the Strip. If you don't mind paying a little extra Venetial will be great for all ages, so will Mirage, so will MGM (in fact these 3 have better rooms than PH).

If you are after a great pool, Venetian, Wynn/Encore, Bellagio, Mirage and Mandalay Bay are probably the best.
The cheap rooms aren't that great. I stayed there around 2001 when it was the "new" Aladdin. (The original Aladdin was imploded in 1992 or 1993 and rebuilt; that structure is now Planet Hollywood.) The more expensive rooms may be nicer (they have 4 or 5 different types of rooms) but the basic "cheapie" rooms at Encore, Wynn, Venetian, Palazzo or Mandalay Bay are very nice, plus you get elegant surroundings whereas Planet Hollywood is kind of like a frenetic party. Although I like the Planet Hollywood casino decor, it's kind of science fictiony. I almost stayed there about 2 years ago but decided against it after reading reviews on TripAdvisor.

PH is more central on the strip but I think the Wynn/Venetian area is nicer, it's a bit less touristy and less crowded than the center strip area. I have over 4,000 photos mostly taken on the Las Vegas strip on my web site urbanphotos.net which may help you decide.Stay at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas or would you suggest somewhere else?
Planet Hollywood is probably my favorite hotel to stay at and has the best value. Rooms and casino were renovated a few years ago and looks nice without being overly expensive - it's Vegas, you shouldn't be in the room that much. The pool is the main downside as it's nothing too special.

A new club just opened up (Gallery) and the Pussycat Dolls Lounge will be opening up there shortly. And since Planet Hollywood has a great location, there's plenty of other clubs (Chateau at Paris, Bank at Bellagio, Marquee at Cosmopolitan....) and lots of bars nearby.

Personally, it's the hotel I recommend the most. Especially if you don't want to spend too much on the hotel room. For example; I enjoyed my stay at Encore but the location is too far north and I wouldn't pay that much for a hotel room (I was comped).
As a guy in his early thirties I thought it was a nice place to stay. I will say I have stayed at nicer places in Vegas, but for what you get for the money it is a good deal. I will say that my wife probably prefers to stay at Paris over PH, but I think PH has more of a youthful atmosphere. The hotel is in a really good location on the strip so it is easy to get to other hotels. I will say the pool area isn't the most exciting, but it is large.Stay at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas or would you suggest somewhere else?
Personally, I have not stayed at Planet Hollywood.

This is my experience with Vegas hotels.

Las Vegas Club Hotel is nice and cheap because its in downtown, the quality and service is fair, its only $15 - night Monday-Thursday.

I've also stayed at the El Cortez - another good priced hotel downtown.

You can find more hotels here:

It checks all of the major booking sites and I find it helpful.
Got a suite at PH for my b-day. It's got a fun, young crowd and a great location on the strip. Nice places to eat and lots of shopping. The pool, I must say, was kinda weak.
I say The Tropicanna has the pool you want! PH pool is pitiful! You just might be able to use the new WestGate pool out in the back of Miracle Mile Mall at PH for free. Still a bit dingy. Tropicanna is more lush tropics themed.
PH is nice but not right next door to other casino hotels with clubs. Look at Luxor or Treasure Island
I think this would work out fine for you two. Right in the middle of the strip... best location! Have fun!
its ok if you dont mind paying exorbitant prices
