FREE UPGRADE at Planet Hollywood?

What is a good way to get a free upgrade at Planet Hollywood when checking in after booking through their site? (I didn't use Expedia or any other of those sites) I really want a Hollywood Strip View Room, was thinking about slipping them like $50 or something at the front desk. Free upgrades are rare and hard to come by in Vegas. They already have you booked into the hotel, so there really isn't much incentive for them to give you an upgraded room for free. Upgrades are typically reserved for frequent guests and/or big gamblers - they aren't given out for special occasions, for tips, and for reasons like that. Rooms aren't assigned until you check in. While checking in just ask for a room with a strip view. They may give it free if it is a slow night or they will tell you that their is an additional charge and might be less than the $50 that you were planning on slipping them. They have clamped down on the $20 trick. Just be upfront and see how things go. Besides if you slip them a $50 bill then it isn't free is it?FREE UPGRADE at Planet Hollywood?
