Which of these hotels should I pick for my first time in Vegas?

Me %26amp; my fiance are going in May for 4 nights. We're trying to not to spend more than $2k. I included prices for hotel (standard rooms) %26amp; airfare. Which hotel seems like the best deal overall for amenities, location, etc. Thanks for any help you can give me.

NYNY $845

MGM $852

Planet Hollywood $919

Mirage $981

Venetian $1021

Bellagio $1081

Palazzo $1128Which of these hotels should I pick for my first time in Vegas?
New York New York- good location almost in the center of the strip, rooms aren't bad. If you don't really care about having a top of the line room or are hardly ever going to be in the room then this isn't bad.

MGM- great pool area, across from NYNY, rooms are okay. The only thing with this place is that its HUGE so there will be a lot of walking.

Planet Hollywood- recently renovated rooms, pool area isn't too good though, and the mall area is really hot and still being renovated from the Aladdin (at least it was when i was there over the summer)

Mirage- also recently renovated all of the rooms and public areas, really nice pool area, not too big

Bellagio- nice rooms too, dead center of the strip so you can't beat the location

Venetian/Palazzo- if you're going to stay at one of these, I would spend the extra to stay at the Palazzo. I stayed there last summer and it was well worth every penny ($300 a night for 3 nights) FANTASTIC pool area, open casino, connected with the Venetian but still not too massive to walk around in, everything's nice and new, and the rooms were the best I have ever stayed in. We were out around Vegas for most of the day, but it was still nice to come back for a little while in the afternoon and then at night to relax in a 5 star hotel room. Service was great and the location isn't too bad because you can catch the monorail at Harrah's to go to the other end of the strip. Only down side is restaurants, shops, etc. can be a little pricey but still manageable.

So, if you want the best hotel room with great amenities, I would choose Palazzo. If you want a good/cheaper hotel room with good amenities too then I would choose Mirage.Which of these hotels should I pick for my first time in Vegas?
With the amount of time you will be spending outside the room I would take NYNY and use the savings to see a show. It has a great location and you don't have to travel a mile to get to your hotel room like you would the MGM. Mirage is way over rated and aging with a gigantic crowd that makes it hard to move around. The last three are Five star hotels and well worth the money but still I would rather use the savings to do something else.
If you can afford it the Venetian is amazing! I would definitely do that hotel again someday. NYNY is also a nice hotel. The atmosphere is pretty cool and the rooms are nice. Didn't go to the pool while I stayed there but I think it's pretty basic. Haven't done MGM or Planet Hollywood yet. And will be doing the Mirage this September for the first time.Which of these hotels should I pick for my first time in Vegas?
I would recommend taking the cheapest room, You never really spend a lot of time in it anyways. Utilize the money for some shows, nice restaurants (not the buffet), and go to the outlet downtown buy your girl something nice. Of the two on your list i would go with NYNY since they have good food and entertainment.
I'll go with MGM. It's the second cheapest hotel on your list. Plus the MGM is an awesome hotel, and you can't go wrong with the location. If you want to go BIG, go with Venetian. Avoid at all cost Planet Hollywood, I stayed there and it was the worst stay I had in Vegas. Trust me I had my fair share with hotels in Vegas. It was the worst customer service in Vegas!!!Which of these hotels should I pick for my first time in Vegas?
Lots of good choices. I see everyone above likes the Venetian the most. Venetian does have shopping, restaurants, a cool pool, and nice sights.

Check out TI. We just got back from there and it was surprisingly nice. It's right across the street from Venetian and next door to the Mirage.

Planet Hollywood is great too. Another good area of the strip, really nice mall, young crowd, not such a great pool though. Just stayed there in Oct. '08 for my b-day.

NYNY I've heard good things. MGM is too huge so I would avoid. Hope this helps. Enjoy!
The pools at the MGM are awesome. They have a 1,000 foot river pool with a currant in it that can't be beat anywhere. No matter where you stay, plan on doing a lot of walking. Also the 3 day monorail pass is well worth it if you plan on seeing as much as possible.
Either Bellagio, Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn or Encore...

But you should defently check your prices again it seems a bit high and you can probably get a better deal. Check out the offers on http://www.smartervegas.com good luck.
I am a Bellagio guy, given I think they have the best poker room in Vegas. ;) ...never have to roam too far from the nest and able to enjoy all the amenities they have to offer.
The answer that will get from me is go to trip advisor website and look for a budget hotel in Vegas..there you will find what you need and advice from other people.
I would go to the Venetian. It is located in the center of the strip and is a very nice hotel.
The Venetian is my favorite hotel in Vegas so I would defiantly go there if I were you.. plus, its very romantic!

take a gondola ride! %26lt;3
I WOULD DEFINATELY GO WITH THE PALAZZO OR VENETIAN BUT IF YOUR ON A BUDGET GO WITH WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD!=) HAVE FUN IN VEGAS!
Personally I would choose MGM because of its great pool area. Have you checked http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com ? You will find there the latest hotel promotion code offers which can lower your hotel room rates.
Of your choices, I would have to go with the Venetian. There are no regular hotel rooms, only suites.

Bellagio is the best but your list looks all good to me...My second choice would be the MGM. NYNY is great if you are from NY
