Would you consider possibility in THIS? A good lucrative start toward restoring our damage to our planet?

OUR OWN EXTINCTION, and other life-forms which have been beginning to wane, and disappear from the earth?

PLANET Hollywood, produces film after very costly films, sensationalizing our almost imminent extinction. I'm certain that millions of dollars are spent making the "Boo!!!" movies as entertainment, not as ways to recognize, then recuperate the GREAT harm we've done to our natural resources. What is serious of matter, becomes another kind of avoidance from a stark reality we are facing. If such sensationalist sour-eye-candy is to continue being made, AS ENTERTAINMENT, and TO FURTHER AGGRANDIZE, already highly paid actors g for their role in them...why is no one, in that REMOTE planet: Hollywood, consider that the money these films make can be donated to the REALITY of our failing earth, and instead of sensationalizing such REAL situations, present them as the TRUE possibility that a Catastrophic end may very well welcome us, though rudely, in not to many years hence?

Actors seem to live in their own paradise of wealth, alike bejeweled peacocks strutting up and down the red carpet, to our supposed delight and amazement! They are clearly VAIN! However, they'd also like to seem as philanthropic, caring individuals to the cause at hand...would they then be willing to sacrifice the earnings for ONE film as their effort to the cause of saving our earth?

And coming down to US; the populace, would we go see these films and donate our admission price to the cause, instead of the theater? Just once, would do a great service!!! %26gt;(I am aware the theaters have to pay for their rent.)

Do you see any possibilities in these sacrifices for the common good, and the reparation of our neglect and destructiveness, already obvious in the condition of our planet, or NO?

What do you think?

If Yes, elaborate, and add your own methods toward the cause, please?

If No, what reasons do you feel are against it?

I realize that we are selfish, neglectful creatures with no peripheral sight, hardly any foresight, and have a tendency to only look after ourselves and what we call ours...but WHAT will we call ours, when the ours is no more, and extinction is firmly stationed, and waiting at our DOORS???

Thank you.Would you consider possibility in THIS? A good lucrative start toward restoring our damage to our planet?
For the most part, almost all of us fall into one of two categories:apathetic or conscience contributors. The apathetic simply: don't care; will never act to any degree; deny any change in the environment or climate. The conscience contributor: while acknowledging change in the environment or climate performs token tasks of conservation/saving.

Most of us know that the Earth has sustained damage. It is irreparable. Like a cancer, it can only be slowed or put into remission at best, but not restored. Ozone can not be replicated/reproduced to 'fill in holes'. Contaminants already in the atmosphere can not be removed. Ground water can not be unpolluted. Long burning underground coal fires around the world still can not be extinguished. The world's demise has been set into motion. When will it end? No one can ever say with any certainty.

I'm not preaching childhoods end. I'm just pointing out that what's done is done. All that you can hope to do is to ease the extent and rapidity of further damage. We're all guilty of enjoying the creature comforts of Y/A! and tech, cars and the places they take us, food and the cost of raising %26amp; feeding it, breathing and the result of air %26amp; gas in our bodies, we can't help but enjoy life contribute to the problem, however inadvertently it may well be.Would you consider possibility in THIS? The experience of Communism shows that it is not a good idea to take money from someone who knows how to earn it and give it to someone who does not. That spoils people.

I suggest we leave the Hollywood stars alone. They do no harm and lots of good as long as they perform well and pay taxes. After all they are just innocent babies whose every awkward gesture and inarticulate sound provokes smiles and cheers from everyone around. We can't afford to lose our innocence.

As for saving the planet... well, why not? History over the last couple centuries testifies that the humans tend, in the long run, to be more reasonable than not. We avoided a worldwide communist revolution (a nineteenth century 'inevitability') and a worldwide nuclear war (a twentieth century 'inevitability'). The Communist utopia and the Nazi dystopia are both history now. Are we in for another 'inevitability'? I think we can cope. Only I believe it will be rather by technology than redistribution of funds.

I am fully aware that optimism is always annoying. However, I also think that it is better sometimes to annoy thy neighbour than depress him. And are there any other ways of loving thy neighbour apart from annoying or depressing him? None to my knowledge at least.Would you consider possibility in THIS? Well I can see the point you are making here, and it may be a possibility, though I doubt it will happen on the kind of scale you mean. I'm sure there are people out there who sacrifice something small and frivolous so they can give to one charity or another. But they money can come from anything. It doesn't necessarily have to come exclusively from box office tickets. And if celebrities can help raise support, hey at least they are good for something. I know I haven't made any speeches to raise support for any charities, and if I did, no one would listen to me. Celebrities, whether we like it or not, are extremely influential, and I am for them using their power for something good once in a while. They best thing we can do is give what we can, and maybe inspire someone else.
