I suggest that you drive or take the light rail to Tempe and walk down Mill Street. Adjacent to the Arizona State University campus, there are MANY fun and good restaurants on Mill and on the streets crossing Mill. Appealing to college students, the food is good, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is fun,

For breakfast and Lunch i'd recommend "Parsons" on Northern at 59th. Ave just west of the intersection in Glendale,Az. they are very affordable to everyone?Any great affordable restaurants to eat at in Phoenix?
You should try Alice Cooper's restaurant too and what about either Heart Attack Grill or the Grill Next Door?
