Were going to New York City for New Year 2010 /2011 and have been advised to plan in advance, can anyone advise me what would be the best plan of action so I can get in Time square to watch the celebrations. We were planning to eat at Planet Hollywood - thanks.New York City on New Years Eve?
Find out exactly what you are getting into. New Years Eve in Times Square is very over rated in my opinion. To get a decent spot, you need to arrive early. Once you are there, you can not leave. If you do, you will not get back in. No bags, no bathrooms, no food no beverage.

Just giving you a heads up, my brother went on New Years Eve and oh gosh it was CROWDED! Whenever he would try to get into a restaurant/building, they would all be so occupied and huge lines too. And outside it was crowded with people trying to get warm hahah.New York City on New Years Eve?
I've never been but from TV pictures it always appears very busy! PH maybe a difficult to get a table unless you have booked well in advance, if that is they even take bookings, if it is FCFS then you could be in for a long wait!New York City on New Years Eve?
