Which hotel in Vegas should we stay at?

Going to Vegas next weekend, and we are not sure where to stay at. Most places have pretty low rates the nights we are going. We were going to originally stay at Planet Hollywood, but have heard mixed reviews. Any suggestions or comments about the following hotels:

- Planet Hollywood

- Caesars Palace

- Treasure Island

- MGM

- Monte Carlo

- Mirage

I would choose in this order:

Caesars

MGM

Mirage

Planet Hollywood

Monte Carlo

Treasure Island

They are all nice places, but Caesars is definitely a step above the others. You can't beat its location for one thing. It also has really nice rooms, great shopping and restaurants, and a really good pool area. It's one of my favorite places in Vegas.

MGM is a great place, but huge (overwhelmingly huge to some) and not in as good a location. Still, it's a busy area with a lot to see and do nearby.
If you want to stay in the same luxurious vein as the Bellagio, the Wynn is the belle of the Las Vegas ball. The hotel may be farther down the Strip than many of the other options, but it鈥檚 directly across the street from a mall with 250 stores, and it has its own golf course. Plus, the Wynn offers top-notch dining, drinking, and entertainment options (Le Reve is not to be missed) in a grand Monte Carlo-esque setting. Rooms can be pricey (I found rates starting at $179 in February), but you can also find discounts by visiting during the shoulder season and by staying in the resort rooms versus the tower suites.

Another contender for grandeur (at a far more affordable price) along the Strip is the Venetian, which captures the essence of Venice (including its own canal and singing gondoliers). The hotel features theaters, shops, restaurants, trendy clubs, and a casino to keep you busy, or you can just sit by the water and watch the indoor sunset on the ceiling overhead. Since the hotel only offers suites, you鈥檙e certain to stay in the lap of luxury. We found suites starting at $139 per night during the winter, but keep an eye out for promotions for summer stays.

Located almost across the street from the Bellagio, Caesars Palace is an ideal location to enjoy all the glamour and glitz of the Strip. With a Roman theme complete with costume-clad centurions the hotel features a casino, shopping mall, choice of restaurants, nightclubs, spa, pool, and theater, making it easy for you to never leave the grounds. You can find rooms starting at $100 per night during the winter through the website鈥檚 hot deals section.

For a little romance along the Strip, the Paris brings the City of Light to Las Vegas, with its very own half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel offers a spa, a casino, a pool, nightclubs, and an indoor street filled with cafes and shops. And the Bellagio fountains are located directly across the street, making it a breeze to enjoy the free show. Rooms are decorated with a French flair, and at press time started at $90 per night in January. You can save throughout the year by booking your room through the website鈥檚 hot deals section.

It may not be the most glamorous hotel on the Strip, but what Bally鈥檚 lacks in glitz, it more than makes up for in price and location With an outdoor walkway that leads to the Bellagio and a passage to the Paris from inside the hotel, you can take full advantage of three casinos with very little effort. Plus, the hotel has its own casino, spa, nightclubs, and restaurants to keep you entertained. The best part, however, is the price of rooms start at $59 per night in January (at press time). Plus, you can save on stays any time of year through the website鈥檚 hot deals section.Which hotel in Vegas should we stay at?
I am probably one of the few that does not like Caesars I don't like that it is very difficult to navigate and that there are traffic bottlenecks through part of the casino and this drives me mad though the rooms are the best out of what you have listed.

I dont like PH I preferred it as Aladdin

Mirage is my favourite hotel on the Strip for the money great rooms, great pool, great service nice rooms and good buffet and bars.

MGM is another of my favourites lots of bars, very large rooms, great spa, lots to do and a monorail station.
Stay at the MGM Grand. I like the MGM because it seems like one of the rare places in Vegas that is tasteful. It's actually really nice to walk around instead of just being over the top and gaudy. Plus they have the monorail there which I highly recommend using. It's $30 for a three day ticket. You can spend that on one cab ride. It's much faster and less stressful than sitting in traffic too.

Don't know if you're gamblers, but if you stay at the MGM expect higher limit tables, especially at night.

Have fun!Which hotel in Vegas should we stay at?
Hey guys,

ohk if you have kids, go to circus circus, its fun but crowed.

Ceaser's Palace, Mirage, and Mandaland(cant spell that sorry) bay is quite classy, but can come to a huge price for a good room.

Planet Hollywood, treasure Island,MGM and monte carlo are very, las vegasy- casinos with fun and bars, but are also very handy as they are in the middle of the strip.

Hope this helps you!!!!!
I would pick Caesars Palace every time from that list. MGM is so huge and takes forever to even get to the strip from your room. Mirage is nice but can't hold a candle to the class of Caesars. Avoid PH, TI and Monte Carlo. Those hotels charge the resort fees that the Vegas hotels have snuck in to make their prices seem lower and then find out you have to pay those extra fees no matter what and at the other hotels you get them included in your original price.
If you're in your early 20s, you should really contemplate staying at the Palms or Hard Rock. It has a better young crowd and more of that "what happens in vegas..." Atmosphere. The other places you mentioned has a lot of old people and families. Heck if you want to see that just go to Disneyland.

Do yourself a favor and live it up, Hard Rock or Palms
I would check out the MGM Grand. They have great rates and there is a lot for young people to do around that area. It is also in a great location right on the strip. You can check out the studio 54 club in the MGM Grand which is a very cool spot to hang out.
Venetian is the best: gorgeous casino, a shopping with a canal running down the middle including gondolas that you can ride and a wide range of restaurants that are reasonably priced.
stay at tropicana
Age wise PH or TI
