Is Las Vegas a good honeymoon spot?

Me and my fiance have been together for 3 years and were getting married in june and trying to pick our honeymoon spot currently. Were thinking of the Planet Hollywood hotel in Las Vegas. Would it be a decent honeymoon spot? It's between there and Niagara Falls in NY. Any Idea's or suggestions or has anyone been there for a honeymoon or wedding? Is Las Vegas a good honeymoon spot?
It depends on what you like to do!

LV has the standards, gambling, drinking, clubbing etc, but there is tons of other stuff to do too.

The Cirque shows are incredible, there's comedy shows and musical concerts as well. There's tons of shopping and just people watching (day or night).

There are plenty of free attractions: the Bellagio fountain, the lions at MGM, Treasure Islands' Sirens show, the Bellagio garden, the Caesar's Palace Forum shops has moving statues, the singers at the Venetian, Freemont Street, Mirage volcano etc.

And ones you can pay for: the wax museum, the Titanic exhibit, Bodies, ride the elevator to the top of Paris' Eiffel Tower, the rides at the top of the Stratosphere, Caesar's aquarium, Mandalay Bay shark reef, the Secret Garden etc.

If you like pool sitting (in June it's going to be HOT) then this is the top 10:

1 Mandalay Bay

2 Hard Rock

3 Mirage

4 Caesar's Palace

5 Flamingo

6 MGM Grand

7 Bellagio

8 Venetian

9 Luxor

10 The Palms

Then you can also do day trips outside of Vegas to Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon.

There is also one-of-a-kind experiences like Dinner in The Sky or skydiving (indoor or outdoor!).

If you are looking for a more laid-back honeymoon with a lot of "room time" then Niagara Falls is probably a better way to spend your money.

I personally would not choose Las Vegas. I don't know if I'd choose Niagara Falls either, though. But Las Vegas is kind of a party town and the Planet Hollywood generally attracts more of a younger, party crowd than a number of other casinos on the strip. If you guys want to party and be around a lot of people and really celebrate then Las Vegas is a good choice. There are some romantic restaurants on the strip and a lot of nice spas where you could do a couples package. Zumanity is also a good show for couples. For my honeymoon, I'd want to go somewhere where I could relax with my new husband, eat good food, get pampered, and spend quality one on one time... Las Vegas just wouldn't be very relaxing. Have you thought about California? You could go to wine country or Catalina Island. These would be much more romantic and more honeymoon appropriate if you ask me. Las Vegas is where people typically come for the bachelor and bachelorette party... not the honeymoon.
What a honeymoon you will have in Vegas. There is so much to do 24/7. You can get a great suite, even one with a jacuzzi. You can enjoy room service. You can go to a huge variety of shows including three Broadway plays, and so much more.

Planet Hollywood is very nice. Pick the best room deal on Strip and enjoy walking the neon lights at night hand in hand, see the volcano, the fountains, the pyramid, the castle, the lions, on and on

It will be a memory of a lifetimeIs Las Vegas a good honeymoon spot?
Some people like the quiet and relaxed atmosphere of Niagra Falls for their honeymoon. However, Las Vegas gives you so much more to do and see. Niagra Falls has lost it's appeal for honeymooing with the complication of just walking across the border to enjoy the Canadian side. Now you have to carry a passport which is a hassle and the lines take forever compared to the way it use to be.
It really depends what you want to do. I'd personally prefer somewhere tropical, but that's cause I"m been to Las Vegas way too many times. If you like to see shows, see sights, gamble and drink, then definitely, Las Vegas is for you guys. Niagra Falls has one attraction...and it doesn't take long to see it all. As for Planet Hollywood, if it's your Honeymoon, I'd rent a nice suite or something. NYNY sometimes has nice suites for cheap. I remember seeing a 1100 sq ft suite for $170 a night a while back.

Anyways, here's some links for ya. For cheap hotel rates check out http://www.mycheapvegas.com and then for free things to do check out http://www.freethingsinlasvegas.com

New York, more private for a weeding and honeymoon, Vegas is too much going on and it would be a nice trip later on for a vacation.Been to Niagara falls good choice.
Skip the one trick pony towns of Las Vegas NV and Niagara Falls NY and just have go to NYC and have a great time in the greatest city in the world
Unless you two like to gamble during your honeymoon, Niagara Falls in NY is a better choice.
