lol...Why should we listen to Hollywood Stars about saving Planet Earth鈥?
They exercise a lot of influence, though people should listen more to the scientists, most of whom agree that global warming is manmade.
i dont listen to stars bu i would like to save the planetWhy should we listen to Hollywood Stars about saving Planet Earth鈥?
Why should we listen to them period???
Only because they have a platform to speak on...it sucks. They , as a whole, spend a lot of energy on frivolous crap.
Nope..
First, they are pretty much the only ones talking about it. Second, Planet Hollywood was run by fascist republican pig men. Not the same thing.
because they're so much smarter than us unwashed masses.
Maybe they want to.
We all love the Baldwin family.
Most of them are nothing but a bunch of followers who want to remain in the main-stream of popularity among their peers... I consider them as being loud-mouthed and pitiful.

Why can't they put their OWN money where their mouths are?
lol True.

But all joking aside, I think it's a good thing when a celebrity sincerely (Not just for personal gain in one way or another) uses their publicity to promote public awareness toward world issues. It's better than seeing them in the news for their latest drunken escapade. It's good to see that a few DO want to make a difference.
lol. But seriously, folks, that is an excellent question in a broader sense. The only reason famous people get their opinions listened to in the media is --because they're famous. Opinions are just that - opinions - and yours have as much weight as anybody else's, unless you are a proven expert in that field.

This reminds me of the time when I was starting out in show biz as an actress, and I went to do summer stock in a small town with a small newspaper and a theater that had been closed for some time. They obviously didn't have a regular theater reviewer for the paper, so they found a truck driver who happened to be off on Monday nights and was willing to do it, and he became the reviewer. I have kept them to this day. When he praised me, I agreed with his opinions!
