Las Vegas Planet Hollywood or MGM Grand?

I a getting very frustrated as to which hotel I should stay at. I am 24 going with my boyfriend and I choosing their basic standard room which both are the same price. The only thing is I like Planet Hollywood's room better, more roomier and more amenities. And I love MGM Grand's pool, but I may only be going their once on our 3 night stay. Please help me out which one should I choose. Also Planet Holly wood is offereing free achololic drink bottles with every nite stay. Planet Hollywood hands down.... It is a beautiful hotel and casino.

The casino isn't huge - like MGM - but really, who cares? It's a great casino and you can always go gamble everywhere else. Service is awesome!! It's a great location. All of the rooms of course are different movie themes....ours was "Judge Dredd". It was really neat. It had authentic movie memorabilia. The room we had included 2 queen beds and an awesome bathroom. Very spacious. We didn't have a view of the strip..but the view we had of the rest of the area was great.

And yes..the free....yes FREE bottles of alcohol were awesome!!!! We liked Bacardi Rum...our friends got that, but also Skyy Vodka and some others. Totally worth it!!

Great location, hotel and stay............they treated us like VIP from check in to check out.....we are going back there for sure.

I've stayed at MGM several times, it's quite nice. Planet Hollywood is newer. I've only seen the casino floor, never the rooms. Equally nice.



I'd probably say try PH only because it's newer, but honestly it really doesn't matter. Flip a coin. They're equally nice hotels in great locations. It's a 5 minute walk from one to the other.



When you're in Vegas, you're not going to spend much time in your hotel - you're going to be wandering from casino to casino. You'll probably spend most of your time at Caesars and the Palms anyway (youngest crowds, best bars - but prohibitively expensive to stay at).

Don't stay at Planet Hollywood. It has the worst customer service!! The rooms are overrated and didn't overall have a good time there. Half of the time my friend was on the phone trying to solve a problem with the front desk and didn't solve the problem!! MGM has better customer service, better entertainment options(Crazy Horse) and I found their rooms to be better. The location is good!!Las Vegas Planet Hollywood or MGM Grand?
I have stayed at both hotels and I will pick MGM Grand any day. The rooms are clean and the hotel is simply beautiful and you will love the Lazy river. The service at Planet Hollywood simply sucks
It is really up to you. Planet Hollywood has two pools but they are just average. If you are only going spend one day of three at the pool, well, it should not be that big of a deal. The MGM has a much nicer pool area but it is also crowded. The one at PH is not usually that crowded but with the current temps at 105 degrees, who knows?



If it was me making the choice, I would go with PH.

Good choices. MGM is so large that it takes forever just to get from your room to the strip. Planet Hollywood is right on the strip. You can't go wrong with either though like you said the MGM has the better pool area by a mile.
Well they are both nice resorts. However, I stayed at Planet Hollywood and it was very nice. The rooms are nice and roomy, the casino is as good as any other, the pool is nice, the nightlife is very good, and Planet Hollywood is new and the MGM is not.
Both hotels are fine but I prefer MGM Grand because of their nice rooms and the fantastic pool area. It also often have the better room promotions which you can find on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com/categ鈥?/a>
ok Im going to lv on the 25th with my girlfriend and I have us in the mandalay bay spa suite way better than those other spots. check it out.
I have stayed at the MGM and enjoyed it the rooms are nice and clean. You will not be in your room much anyhow.
