What is the best vegas hotel for someone like me?

I never been to vegas but i'm planning my trip to go very soon. I'm 24 and going with my boyfriend 25(NOT getting married lol). what would be a good atmosphere for us?

I was thinking Planet HollywoodWhat is the best vegas hotel for someone like me?
Hard Rock??? EXACTLY "NOT" what you want...it is 1) NOT on the strip as the other answer said, but mostly 2) is the spot for immature drunken drama kings/queens to go to for 'crazed and drunken off-the-wall behavior"...uh, 3) there's a reality show going on at the property focused around their 'daytime' pool party...and are VERY focused on their nighclub scene!!!...so THREE or more of your days of the week are focused on party-party-party crowd (the other 4 are hangover recovery days at best...LOL)

Anyway...higher end...go with Bellagio, it has one lounge (Caramelo) and one nightclub (The Bank), neither one has BIG capacity (Caramelo= 100+/- and The Bank=1500 max per the manager, in Vegas, that's tiny but Caramelo would have a better/more mature crowd of the two) and the property is more focused on the beauty/luxury of the property decor. (You'll fall in love with the decorative themes they have in a large space just off the front desk area and just outside their 24 hour cafe/restaurant).

Next step down...probably go with Paris. It also does not focus the property on a "party nightclub scene" but is very central to "The Strip"...easy walking to everywhere...including next door to Planet Hollywood...but MUCH classier and much better restaurants. (The nightclub at Planet Hollywood was recently closed, reopened after a month or more, because they were allowing drunken nakedness and/or sex acts to take place inside their club...enough and frequent enough the government officials shut it down..in Vegas, that's pretty bad!!!..not warned any further...shut down!!!) some might be into that, sounds like you want to avoid that scene...also I have blacklisted their club due to the rudeness they had with two friends of mine, a medical doctor and real estate developer in their late 30/early 40's.). Their "tiny" casino has a large focus on the go-go dancer themed blackjack pit and the girls dance their way through the casino on shift changes...doesn't sound like the place you're looking for to me. Also... PH's brazilian themed restaurant has gotten bad reviews from at least 3 of my friends/family that have gone there, "I" have NEVER had above standard service in any of their restaurants, and that was only once....but the rooms are 'okay' for people looking for nothing more than a place to crash, the hotel management have an 'okay' record with people I know that've stayed there.

Paris, romantic and mature, not based around a nightclub scene...Mon Ami Gabi is a fabulous restaurant with a view of the Bellagio fountain show...the rooms are cheaper than Bellagio, etc...and across the street from it...and you'd probably enjoy taking a ride to the top of the eiffel tower...there's a 'pricey' restaurant up there too. (the Eiffel Tower's huge, but 1/3 the size of the real one!!!....New York/New York hotel has a Statue of Liberty, also the 1/3 scale...etc but it's indoor rollercoaster and midway may be an issue for you.)

Mandalay Bay, plenty of nighclub crowd and lots of 'working girls' in the casino at night...Wynn/Encore and Venetian/Palazo have HUGE nightclubs with MASSIVE lines of people waiting to get in...as in over 200+....on a regular night.

Excaliber/Luxor, tacky themes...Mirage would be okay, but small and pricier rooms...Treasure Island, small and nighclub focused (especially Fri/Sat and Monday, locals party night!!)

Caesar's place...lots of nice things...love the shops and 'statues that come to life' (very cool/fun shopping spot, even if you don't buy anything)...but the nighclub (Pure) is a MEGA club and features the Pussycat Dolls casino outside it...and the Pussycat Dolls nightclub spot towards/at the front part of the club itself.

Let me know if you don't like the Paris idea, with feedback, I'll help direct you to the most appropriate location. What is the best vegas hotel for someone like me?
The PH or Mirage should do you well. They have excellent locations and mostly cater to people your age. Location is very important in Vegas. Getting around is not easy and involves a lot of walking. The hotels are really huge and just walking from one to another is a chore.

Planet Hollywood has and excellent buffet for dinner and next door at the Paris is the best breakfast buffet. A tunnel connects Paris with Bally's. On the other side of PH is the MGM Grand another place worth exploring.

The pool at PH is not so good. Just rather plain and limited hours. The Mirage has a much better pool as well as "Bare" a European style pool (topless) gals get in free guy have to pay. The Mirage is connected to Treasure Island with a free tram. The Mirage, Treasure Island and the Bellagio are the evening destinations. The Mirage has the erupting volcano, TI has the Pirate battle and Bellagio has the dancing fountains.

For great deals on shows, see the link below. This is a ticket discount broker with locations on the Strip. You just have to show up to find out what tickets are available often for half price.

Good luck!

Planet Hollywood is very nice and caters to your age group as does Luxor. You will do well to stay on the Strip, not off at places like Hard Rock or Stratosphere. Walking at night is not advisable in those areas or the walk is too far for most people.

Drunks can be anywhere but casinos do not like them in the mainstread and help them to a cab or their rooms. But expect that if you go to one of those clubs, you may find it not only noisey but those drunk/stoned beyond acceptance. What is the best vegas hotel for someone like me?
Monte Carlo and MGM are pretty good places. I would say NYNY but the crowd there is very immature. A lot of drunk thirty-somethings partying like they're 21!!! Very obnoxious people there and at Excalibur. Nice property but hate the crowd. It's been like that every time I've gone so I don't go unless I'm gonna watch a show or eat.

The Mirage or TI would be pretty good places. The crowd has some families so the people are very behaved and tamer than at other hotels. Food's good, staff are nice and rooms are pretty comfy and you're in a prime spot!
NYNY, ESPN zone bar, rides, casino. Shorter to trudge thru to get outside. Taxi stand outside. Next door to Monte Carlo Diablo Bar and grill.

Hooters-don't have to trudge thru casino to get outside. What is your budget?

Picky on hotel/motel rating? If not Howard Johnson inbetween downtown and uptown. For some reason I love the swimming pool! Across from Talk Of Town Stripper joint. Where Hangover movie was filmed!

Stratosphere Hotel Casino. Rides. 2 Starbucks! 1 on main casino floor other up in tower! Mini mall. Casino. Outdoor bus stop, buffet, 50s diner. Room Service. 2 Pools. One adult-no shirt required, other family type. Taxi stand. What is the best vegas hotel for someone like me?
Planet Hollywood is a good choice. Do not stay at the Hard Rock, it is too far off the strip to enjoy Vegas. Planet Hollywood has a great location right in the middle of the strip. Here is a page full of helpful tips for first time visitors.
Planet Hollywood is perfect for you guys, Hard-Rock has a load of hot girls unless you dont mind your BF looking at other chicks, a mature hotel would be the Mirage, Venetian, Wynn or Bellagio
Based on the statement "no time for drama and drunken idiots"....

I recommend Encore.
